(LINCOLN JOURNAL STAR) The Lincoln Journal Star reports, "A nine-member National Civilian Community Corps team will help clean the banks of the Big Blue River to make it more accessible to the public.
The team, an AmeriCorps program, will help the volunteer community group 20/20 Vision in partnership with the city of Beatrice and Keep Beatrice Beautiful in the downtown area through June 12.
They will clean trash and brush from the banks of the river to make the river more accessible. The team also plans to promote river cleanups through a community awareness project, build accessible fishing docks and monitor water quality."
