"So far, the Platte and Loup Rivers remain free of ice jams"

(OMAHA WORLD-HERALD) The Omaha World-Herald reports, "A close eye will be kept on the Platte and Loup Rivers as the winter moves along. A conference call late last week with city and county emergency personnel discussed the possibility of ice jams in Nebraska rivers. So far, the steady stream of above-freezing temperatures hadn’t caused enough melting of ice to create ice jams."
