(THE GRAND ISLAND INDEPENDENT) The Grand Island Independent reports, "Heavy rains drenched much of Central Nebraska over the weekend, causing two dams to fail and damaging area crops.
Over that weekend, 5 to 7 inches of rain fell in areas of Central Nebraska, causing rivers to rise rapidly as the National Weather Service issued flash flooding warnings."
