"Groundwater woes: U.S. lost two Lake Eries' worth before 2009"

(LINCOLN JOURNAL STAR)  The Lincoln Journal Star reports, "Groundwater levels in 40 aquifers across the United States declined by the “startling” equivalent of two Lake Eries from 1900 through 2008, according to a new round of analysis by the U.S. Geologic Survey."
