(IMPERIAL REPUBLICAN) The Imperial Republican reports, "Three bids were received by the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission (NGPC) for the Champion Mill Dam Rehabilitation and Sediment Removal project. The bids were opened in Lincoln Tuesday. Low bid was BSB Construction of Curtis, at $270,752.45. Also bidding were Frahm Construction of Carroll at $334,885 and Myers Construction Inc. of Broken Bow with $349,775. Jim Fuller, Administrator of the NGPC Parks Division, said the engineers’ estimate of the project was $198,000, of which $148,000 was for dam rehabilitation and $50,000 was for sediment removal. The project calls for dredging silt from in front of the present dam and building a berm with it in front of the structure."
