(LINCOLN JOURNAL STAR) The Lincoln Journal Star reports, "The Lake Wanahoo dam, still two months from completion, already has saved Saunders County officials and residents some headaches in the recent flooding.
Normally during severe floods, the county highway department has had to send out crews to close about 20 local roads and bridges between Wahoo and Ashland, said John Miyoshi, general manager of the Lower Platte North Natural Resources District."
