(HASTINGS TRIBUNE) The Hastings Tribune reports, "Just last fall, officials of the Lower Republican Natural Resources District declared that without a huge streamflow augmentation project to supply water to the Republican River, the district would have been forced to shut off all its irrigators for 2014 for the sake of compliance with an interstate compact."
