(GRAND ISLAND INDEPENDENT) The Grand Island Independent reports, "The executive director of the Platte River Recovery Implementation Program, a three-state compact geared to enhance habitat for endangered waterfowl, said the Platte River island work done by his organization did not lead to flooding along Shoemaker Island Road."
