Sen. Christensen introduced LB 932 on January 13, which clarifies that a natural resources district that is part of a river basin in which a majority of the districts have adopted water metering controls may use funds from the state Water Contingency Cash Fund to purchase rights to water from irrigators, and would not need to pay such fund back if districts are no longer authorized to collect or use the property tax and/or occupation tax originally authorized by LB 701.
