"Central Nebraska Public Power: Johnson Lake is not leaking"

(LINCOLN JOURNAL STAR) The Lincoln Journal Star reports, "Trickling water discovered last month near the base of the Johnson Lake Dam is more likely snowmelt than seepage through the dam.

The Central Nebraska Public Power and Irrigation District's Kevin Boyd reported Monday that results of water sample testing indicate that water found below the dam is not coming from the lake.

The samples taken from the lake and from below the dam had significant variations in chemical and mineral composition, Boyd said in a news release. However, Central will continue to monitor the situation."
