"Perry Creek: Flood concerns persist, work in progress"

(SIOUX CITY JOURNAL) The Sioux City Journal reports, "Gary Brown, Woodbury County disaster and emergency management director, said a threat of flooding along the creek still exists north of Stone Park Boulevard.

'My concern is if the creek gets plugged up again like it was 20 years ago," he said. "That's where the problem would come from.'

He said there still is debris in the creek in that area. Although there are plans on the books to channelize the creek north of Stone Park Boulevard, called Phase V of the project, no study has been initiated.
