(STAR HERALD) The Scottsbluff Star Herald reports, "If more rain falls over the next few days, areas of the North Platte River could exceed its banks but as of Thursday afternoon, the river is maintaining it current level.
Tom Hayden, the Bridgeport Field Office supervisor for the State of Nebraska Department of Natural Resources, said people along the North Platte River need to be aware of increasing levels but that at this point it doesn’t appear the river is going to breach its banks.
However, if it begins to rain today and through the weekend, as forecast, that could change."
