(KEARNEY HUB) The Kearney Hub reports "Lower Republican Natural Resources District directors will decide Aug. 12 whether to use special property taxes collected in 2007 and held in escrow to help fund the NRD's 2010-2011 budget.

During a stop in Holdrege Monday, Nebraska Attorney General Jon Bruning told the Hub it's legally OK for the NRDs to do that."
