(NORTH PLATTE BULLETIN) The North Platte Bulletin reports "The Central Nebraska Public Power and Irrigation District will lower the water level at Johnson Lake after Labor Day weekend for maintenance at the Johnson No. 2 Hydroplant below the lake.
Beginning Sept. 7, the lake's water level will drop a little more than an inch a day until Oct. 25, when it should be six feet lower than now, Central Irrigation officials said. The lake's level will be back to normal (non-irrigation) fall levels by the following weekend."
