(THE GRAND ISLAND INDEPENDENT) The Grand Island Independent reports, "The Environmental Protection Agency is just weeks away from starting the next two phases of ridding industrial solvents from Grand Island groundwater.
In June, it will be activating four high-pressure wells to pump contaminated groundwater into a cleaning system in the Parkview Subdivision and will also begin injecting chemicals into the most contaminated groundwater in southwest Grand Island, said EPA Project Manager Brad Vann."
