(KEARNEY HUB) The Kearney Hub reports "A fiscal year 2011 budget with no change in the property tax asking for the general fund and a slightly lower levy was approved Thursday by the Lower Republican Natural Resources District Board of Directors.
The budget of $4,454,041 compares to $4,548,793 in fiscal 2010.
The property tax asking remains at $760,100. Because of valuation increases in the district — all of Furnas, Harlan and Franklin counties and parts of Webster and Nuckolls counties — the levy will drop from 4.32 cents per $100 valuation to 4.1 cents, said LRNRD General Manager Mike Clements of Alma."
