(OMAHA WORLD-HERALD) The Omaha World Herald reports "Central Platte Natural Resources District’s 2011 fiscal budget will require a slightly higher property tax asking. The budget is $4,713,593.91 with a property tax requirement of $0.04733, compared to last year’s requirement of $0.04730. A homeowner with a home valued at $100,000 will pay $47.33 to allow the Central Platte NRD to continue its goals of “protecting lives, protecting property and protecting the future” through flood control projects, water quality and water quantity projects and conservation of our natural resources."
