(OMAHA WORLD-HERALD) The Omaha World-Herald reports "Democratic gubernatorial candidate Mike Meister and Gov. Dave Heineman verbally clashed Thursday over the proposed Keystone XL crude-oil pipeline.
Meister also differed with the governor over his recent decision to retain the ban on alcohol at Lake McConaughy while removing the ban at other state parks.
Meister, a Scottsbluff attorney, said that routing the oil pipeline through the groundwater-rich Sand Hills was “one of the dumbest things I've seen in my life.”
